Fall for Accessories 2012

Autumn\Winter is upon us once again. The falling leaves and shorter nights marks the end of short shorts, bare legs, sun hats and the beginning of the need for a wardrobe transformation. The best way to update your wardrobe without buying a whole new one, is by updating the old and making it NEW! How to do this?? ACCESSORIES! These little gems are the easiest and most purse friendly way to create Autumn/Winter looks from last seasons left-overs. I have created my very own capsule collection of  Autumn/Winter 2012 MUST-HAVE accessories which are ALL available in Dundrum Town Centre now. I hope you will be as INSPIRED as I was, by the amazing accessories that DTC has to offer this season.

The world of accessories is vast – I have searched Dundrum Town Centre to find four categories of the ULTIMATE Autumn/Winter 2012 accessories – THE BAG, THE BELT, THE SCARF, THE STATEMENT NECKLACE. These four wardrobe staples will transform summer pieces and incorporate Autumn/Winter 2012 trends into everyday wear, without blowing the budget. Here are my picks, which can ALL be found in Dundrum Town Centre in the following stores:  Zara, Topshop, Accessorize, River Island, Massimo Dutti, Urban Outfitters.

Embellishments on handbags are a huge trend for Autumn/Winter 2012. Studs, faux fur, embroidary can all be seen on the Highstreet. This red leather studded ZARA bag is on trend, stylish and will brighten up any Winter outfit.

 

 

I believe that Statement Necklaces are an absolute must-have accessory for Autumn/Winter 2012. They add sparkle, glamour and character to any outfit and instantly update last season’s pieces.

 

 

 

 

Scarves are the perfect addition to any wardrobe as there are so many to choose from, especially in Dundrum Town Centre. Scarves can be thrown on with any ensemble and instantly add an element of interest and quirkiness. They come in all shapes, colors and patterns, so there is definitely one to suit every fashionista.

 

 

The addition of a fabulous belt is another way to update last season’s pieces and ensure that they are on trend for Autumn/Winter 2012. For the more daring fashionista, the harness belt transforms any outift and is bang on trend. For a more subtle style update, opt for an embellished waist belt or a skinny leather belt which will also do the trick!

Don’t Be My Downfall

Today I’m keeping it simple. Wearing black top from River Island, Levi shorts and ASOS heels. I’m also wearing a body chain from Tosphop which gives the outfit a bit of edge. I love these Levi shorts as they’re so versatile. They can be worn with black tights and boots in winter and are super comfortable! A studded pair are on my wishlist for Autumn/Winter. Skater Day

 

Today I’m wearing a skater skirt and crop-top from TOPSHOP and flatforms from OFFICE. I chose this comfortable outfit for a walk in the woods. I can also wear this skater skirt in Winter with black tights, biker boots and a military jacket, making it a very versatile purchase! I had a fun day in the sun-hope you like it:-)

Neon Rocks : Part Two

These shots were taken by the sea tonight, just before sunset. Some were taken on my camera and others were taken on my humble iPhone camera! The last shot is of two beautiful views of where the shots were taken. I am wearing a neon yellow top and scarf from H&M, black high-waisted jeans from Urban Outfitters and flatforms from Office. I particularly love the scarf and that was the main focus of my outfit choice. Hope you like it!

Always the Sun

 

Today I am finally getting a chance to wear a dress I bought on ASOS at the beginning of the summer. It’s a simple white summer dress but the back is what interested me in it – the criss-cross design of the back makes it interesting and different. My shoes are from River Island – I am in love with them! (and they are actually comfortable!) Wearing new clothes for the first time always makes me happy so wearing this outfit wasn’t a bad way to start my week. Happy Monday and thank you to my followers for supporting me!

Yesterday was a rare sunny day in Dublin, so i took advantage of this and took to the great outdoors. I’m wearing a white studded top from ZARA, floral shorts from TOPSHOP and white flatforms from OFFICE. I chose this outfit because it’s summery, colourful and fun!

Jewels for the Weekend

No these GORGEOUS jewels are not from Prada or Miu Miu – they are from ASOS!! I came across these designer look-alikes as I was browsing the website yesterday and I just had to share my findings! The statement necklaces will jazz up any plain outfit during the day or night and the earrings will add interest and colour to any evening look. IN LOVE with all of them and they cost a fraction of their designer look-alikes! Happy Friday!

Leather Lovin’

Today I am wearing a shirt from H&M Trend, a leather skirt from River Island, studded flats from Aldo and necklaces from River Island and Ted Baker. My obsession for all things leather has been going on for quite a while as I find that the various leather pieces I own are so versatile and can be worn day to night. For this reason I have been spending the past few days shopping online for some more key leather pieces for Autumn/Winter to add to my collection of leather trousers, shorts, hotpants and a skirt – you can never have too much!
